Fishing in the high water today and catching a few with some new comers to the sport. We are making good use of the Yakattack “Little Stick” today! High water had us pressed to the banks so we used the little stick to hold position while casing to eddy lines or just outside in the current.
This was a father and sons outing. Everyone caught smallmouth. Dad out-fished everyone and landed a personal best smallmouth. Not bad for only having a couple trips under his belt before the class and having to deal with a very “pushy” river today. It was spinnerbaits in the morning and Predator Craws from late morning on that produced best.
Here’s Dad with a nice smallmouth bass

Thanks again Todd and I both thought we would get up with sore arms but didn’t agreed it was paddle technique you showed us. When we got to the point we talked to some other fishermen they didn,t even get any bites we all caught fish.Hope to get hooked up again no pun intended. Sincerely Dan

Dan,
Thanks for the kind words. I really enjoyed working with all of you during the trip. You and Todd made great strides… you guys are very “coachable”. I’ll send Dan Jr. an email with some follow up email information/video that will help you keep up on your technique and other kayak fishing related skills. It was a real pleasure getting to know you and your family. You did good with your son’s… they are great young men!
